Segrada Familia

We got to Barcelona yesterday morning. Getting off the ship was a JOKE! There were two ginormous lines and on top of that, after we had been in line for 30 minutes, they let the people who had suites cut in front of us.

We had a ride lined up already, thank goodness. The line for a taxi was probably a good two hour wait. We arrived at our airbnb apartment at like 10, but couldn't check in until one! That was sucky. So we walked a few blocks to the Segrada Familia cathedral, but the soonest tickets were for 2:45. So we walked around and ate lunch at subway. 

The cathedral was unreal. The detail on the outside, the size, and especially the stain glass windows inside. It was super cool to see. 

After that we went and relaxed in our sauna of an apartment, and then went and had dinner at some random place. It's times like those when I wish I knew another language. It's so frustrating not knowing what anything says or means! But I had some delicious creme brûlée so that's all that matters ;)

Mallorca (my orca)

Our last stop on the cruise was Mallorca, Spain. We only had 4 hours, which is definitely not enough time to see everything! But us 3 older kids and my mom got a taxi to take us around while Brin & Brook & my dad stayed back on the beach.

We went to the sickest caves! The drive was pretty far to get there, but it was definitely worth it. Pictures don't do it justice. Then, on the way home we stopped at a castle for like 2 seconds. Just long enough to take some pictures!

Cannes, France

It was miserably hot, so we took a train tour of the city, which was super pretty, and then just went to the beach. Swimming in the Mediterranean ocean was pretty cool! The water is so blue! 

But after being there for a few hours and seeing multiple women without bikini tops, my mom decided it was time to go! Lolz. Cannes is a pretty city, but I think I like Paris more.

Italia!

 Day One - Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii

Our first port was Naples, so we got a driver for the day and drove all around. Our first stop was Positano. The drive there was absolutely breathtaking. We were right on the mountainside looking over the water for most of the time. Our driver, Salvatory, stopped and let us out a little ways above Positano, so we walked for a bit down to the water, went into a few shops, and ate some gelato. Besides getting lost in the bloody hot sun, Positano was amazing!

Our next stop was Sorrento. We went to a pizza place but I think it might've been heaven. The pizza was so good it was ridiculous. 

Last, was Pompeii. It was miserably hot, and our tour guide, Felix, although extremely nice, wanted to show us everything and tell us every detail he possibly knew. Walking around in the sun for 2 hours wasn't my favorite, but it was cool to learn about the history of Pompeii. 

Day Two - Rome

Rome was hotter than the day before, which I didn't think was even possible, but it definitely was. So that was cool. We got another driver whose name was Sylvio. He was adorable and such a sweetie. And he had freaking WIFI in his CAR. But everyone in America was asleep anyways. 

We made a few short stops to places that I don't know the name of, but were all amazing. 

We also went to the Colosseum, but only saw the outside because we were on a time crunch. I definitely wanna go back someday and see the inside!

Our last stops were the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel. I wish I could have taken pictures, but even then, it wouldn't do it justice. Michelangelo was a true genius.

Day Three - Livorno

Our third port was Livorno. We had the option to go to Florence and/or Pisa, but the time and money didn't seem worth it. Plus, we were exhausted from the other two days. So, we just went into Livorno, had some lunch, (and gelato of course) and did some shopping! Overall, I love Italy! But I think when I come back someday I'll come when it's a little cooler ;) also, I'm obsessed with our GoPro we got just before this trip. It's amazing. Check out my VSCO for more pics. China Lovin'

I've been home from China for 6 months now. Whaaaat. It almost feels like a dream. Like it didn't really even happen, but it did. I lived in freaking CHINA for 4 months. If you asked me a year ago if I EVER thought I would be in China, I probably would've laughed in your face, honestly. China was next to last on my list of places I wanted to travel. But I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to spend 4 months in this beautiful country! It was such a great experience and really did change my life. So, I made a video of it all, enjoy!

Sidenote: I wish I could take credit for all the footage, but the majority of it was filmed by my cute friend Jennie Case! She made several videos while we were in China and they're 10 times better than mine, so check them out here :) Much love. xoxo

mountain sounds

My love for the mountains just keeps growing and growing. Last weekend my family took the razors up Farmington Canyon (it's finally open!) and I was in awe at the beauty. And last night, my dad let Peyt and I take the Jaguar for a scenic drive to good old Snowbasin. I've only been there one other time when there wasn't snow on the ground, and I do nor remember it being SO gorgeous and green. Like WOW. We were planning on taking tons of pictures so I could practice for Europe.. but when we got there and got the camera out, the freaking memory chip wasn't inside. So, enjoy the iPhone photography ;)

Hi, I'm back. And, I'm currently blogging to you from my new Macbook Pro! I am obsessed with it, and I will forever be pro Apple.

The past few months have been a blur. I decided to go back to Utah State (I had been debating between there and UVU), went to a few weddings, took a few road trips, dated a few guys, etc. Ya know, just normal life. BUT, summer is hereeee. I'm headed to Europe for 20 days in just a couple of weeks with the fam and I've been on cloud 9 about it ever since I heard the news!

Last weekend, we went to my Dad's annual ZAGG work party at Lagoon. And on Thursday, he went to his last day of work. WHAT?! He decided to take 6 months or so off after working at ZAGG for 8 years. It'll be nice to have him home all the time now instead of off in another country for "work." But I'll definitely miss going to Cayman! ;) He has worked so hard to get to where he is today and I'm so proud of him! Love you Pops!!

I'm still a nanny to the two cutest humans to ever exist and I'm dreading the day I have to go back to Logan and leave them :( I've still got a few months though, so it's okay. We've been loving the pool and the park lately.
